August 20
A high pressure ridge has established itself over California, providing plenty of hot and dry weather. This has induced rapid ripening in many of our vineyards.
The 2007 campaign began with the harvest of our Sauvignon Blanc at the Calistoga winery on Saturday, August 18th. The grapes were sorted on our new sorting table and pressed. On Monday, the wine was barreled down into a mixture of French oak barrels and stainless steel drums and is now beginning to slowly ferment. The juice tastes incredible with lots of beautiful tropical fruit notes.
