Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The 2007 Twomey Sauvignon Blanc is an elegant blend of richness and clarity that captures the best of this variety. It is light, straw yellow with green highlights. The wine explodes from the glass with aromas of passionfruit, guava, lemon zest and tarragon, accented by hints of cucumber and subtle minerality. In the palate, the wine has an attack full of tropical fruit notes with a mouth-filling yet crisp finish.

Vintage Description
The 2007 vintage started out cool and dry, with less than an inch of rain in January. The dry weather continued into spring, with warm temperatures pushing bloom and budbreak ahead of their typical schedule by weeks. Drier than normal soil conditions resulted in smaller berries, as well as a 15% to 20% decrease in crop size. Summer weather was mild, with temperatures rarely exceeding 90 degrees yet limited water availability was our biggest challenge. Continued dry weather and a warm spell in early August were the catalyst for picking. Overall, smaller berries and lower yields made for a great vintage.
