Winemaker’s Tasting Notes
The 2000 Twomey Merlot is a wine of extraordinary complexity and balance. It has a dark ruby color and a complex nose of black cherry jam, dark chocolate and roasting coffee. A rich attack is followed by a mouthful of luscious fruit and a lingering, elegant finish. Given proper cellaring, this Merlot will continue to give drinking pleasure until 2015.
Composition: 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc
