    The 2007 Twomey Russian River Valley Pinot Noir beautifully expresses the ripe style of this iconic American Pinot Noir region. This wine has a deep, ruby color and a nose of rose petals, strawberries, black cherry and cola. It is full bodied and rich on the palate with flavors of black cherry liqueur and cinnamon, closing with a full, velvety finish of fine grained tannins and a supple elegance which this region is renowned for.

    This wine is an extraordinary example of the wines produced in this wild, wind-swept, extremely cool appellation. It has a vibrant, light ruby color and a nose of dried rose petals, strawberry/raspberry puree, and a hint of cardamom. On the palate the structure is elegant, with lively well-balanced acidity that builds to a nuanced crescendo of crème brulee, mocha and chocolate-covered cherries. It has an extremely long finish of fine grained tannins and fresh rose petals.

    This wine displays lovely elements of both fruit and earth, the yin and yang that make this varietal so compelling. The wine displays a deep ruby color and an expressive nose of caramelized cherries, allspice, truffles and brown sugar. It has a lively attack of fresh red rose petals and rhubarb with an intoxicating white truffle richness. It is rich but lively on the palate, with a fine texture supporting an explosion of red forest fruits giving way to a long finish of earth and mineral complexities.

    The 2007 Twomey Santa Barbara Pinot Noir is a subtle, complex wine that reflects the cool maritime influence and benchland sandy-clay loam soils infused with decomposed shale of the Bien Nacido Vineyard. It has a red rose petal color and an ethereal nose of Bing cherries, rose water, Turkish Delight and wild mushrooms. On the palate, the wine starts with a burst of tart red berries and builds to reveal rose petal and cranberry characteristics. It has a seamless structure and very fine tannins on the long finish.
